A bit about Davoren Environmental


Experience

Dr Maria Davoren, Principal Consultant & Director
With more than 20 years of experience in academia, industry and consulting, Maria has considerable knowledge of toxicity assessments with mammalian and environmental test models and the interpretation of research data.
​
Maria has a primary degree in Toxicology and a PhD in Environmental Toxicology and is a European Registered Toxicologist (ERT). In 2002, Maria commenced postdoctoral training at the Focas Research Institute at Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) Ireland. During this time Maria worked on numerous multidisciplinary projects and worked in various roles (research scientist, project manager, undergraduate, postgraduate an postdoctoral supervisor) evaluating the toxicity of sediments, pharmaceuticals and nanomaterials.

Through her combined experience working in both a research and consultancy environment, she has developed a strong record of managing project timelines, scope and budget to deliver successful project outcomes.

Maria has published over 30 peer reviewed papers and 2 book chapters in the fields of environmental toxicology and nanotoxicology.
